Stop this if you have ACNE!

I used to have tremendous acne problem. My acnes varied from thos humoungous pus filled one to the small hard and itchy ones. Some were sized in between. I am not lying when I say, every inch of my face was covered in those hideous acnes. Besides from being a skin codition it was starting to take a toll on my mental health too!

Here, I have enlisted some bad habits I stopped which helped my sking get better:

1. Picking on them

I am ever so guilty of this. I used to pick my scnes like it was none's business! It is very fun and satifying. But, Girls! It is the worst thing to do! It leaves stubborn scar. The pus from your acne can spread to the parts which has no acne and may result in more acnes. Let the acne take its time to shrink.
Instead, you can help shrink the acne and reduce inflammation. You can use ice cubes to help soothe the inflammation. Clindamycin gel is one of the best spot treatment gel. You can get it easily in you local pharmacist conveniently. If you are not a big fan of chemicals and want to go the natural way. You can try applying tea tree oil on the acnes. You should not use these both at once. Use these both at night only since exposure to sunlight may cause the product to react in a different way causing burns and irritation to the skin.

2. Using too much product!

I know you are anxious and just want them gone. You try everything and anything, you can have your hands on. But the built of each product is different from the other one. You should check if the ingredients in different products you are using is in harmony. Clashing of ingredients may result in skin irritations and hence results in more acne.
Take one product at a time. Give that product a couple of weeks or month and if it is not helping then you can always swap it out for something else.

3. Not caring about hydration

I did not carry a water bottle and quenched my thirst out of coke. That is a bad habit there sis! You need water! Water is the best way to remove all the toxins out of your body. It does a lot than you ever imagined. Make sure to drink good healthy water.
Make a point of drinking at least 2 to 3 liters of water everyday. Swap those sugary soda and delicious 'chiya' for nice gulp of water.

4. Sleeping in on dirty pillowcase

You will not even realize how dirty your pillow is unless you take a good look at it. A lot of germs resides in your pillow cases. All the dirt and grimes from your sweaty hair get transferred to the pillow and from the pillow to your face which in turn triggers the acne.
Make a point to change your pillow cases every 3 to 4 days. I would not say you have to get a satin pillowcase but do not get those nylon and polyester pillowcases that you widely find these days. Incline to natural fibers while getting a pillowcase.

5. Not knowing the type of your acne

You need to find the nature of your acne to properly treat them. Find out if the acne is hormonal, fungal or the regular acne. You should access the nature of your acne and find the solution. Using products that are not specified for your acne will just further aggravate it.
